Outlining a screenplay and drafting its pages used to get the same instruction in Develop. The two jobs think differently, and they need different briefs.

The page-drafting pass was still being told how to rate a sequence's rhythm, what a relationship carries, and how many pages the story projects. What it was barely told was how a page should read. 0.12.4 splits it into two briefings with no shared text. The outliner reads what an outliner needs. The writer reads what a writer needs. Neither reads the other's sections.

The two jobs think differently. Give the outliner a mood board and you get a plan with mood and no spine. Give the drafter a structural report and you get pages defending a diagram.

The briefing is not a document sitting somewhere. It is the set of instructions the model actually reads, and the earlier version of this mistake is worth reading next to this one.
